I have three ducklings that are about 4 1/2 weeks s, they are at the correct temperature and have food and water, one of them is panting and struggling to breath, any suggestions on how to treat?

Panting is most commonly caused by too much heat, labored breathing may mean something more serious. I want you to look at these two videos and tell us which one your ducklings replicate the most.

Panting, Most commonly caused by too much heat.

Chicken Breathing Heavily

With a respiratory infection, you would most likely be able to see other symptoms such as Foamy Eye, lethargy, puffed up stance, discharge from the eyes/nose along with labored breathing, are they exhibiting any other signs besides the breathing?

A quick test to check if they overheated is to set them in a basket, and put the basket in an area that is at room temp, leave them there for a few minutes or so and see if the panting stops.

Always provide your birds with enough space so they can sufficiently move away from the heat as needed. The temp guidelines they put out for ducklings isn't a set temp, some birds require higher temps some like colder, let them be able to choose.
