Duckling paralysis

It's been about 2 days between this one and the last one. I was taking them back inside and when I went to pick him up, he freaked out and then went limp. I don't give them treats but we go out in the yard for about an hour a day and they forage in the grass eating flies, little tree frogs, and he even ate a yellow jacket wasp which I'm pretty sure he didn't enjoy because when he sees them now he doesn't eat them or runs away from them. So should I buy some meals worms and put the liquid vitamin on them?

Little green peas thawed or dried meal worms are 2 treats mostduckling love that is one way of getting it into him or you can just put tiny amounts right inside the bill till you have used the 1 ml but that will be more stressful so that probably wouldn’t be the way to go. So it’s def over stimulation the stress of being picked up which means hopefully he’ll out grow it like others have said here . As he matures.

Thanks guys! But isnt the feed I'm giving them that has amprolium in it a thiamin blocker?

@Pyxis has info on medicated feed if your concerned switch to an all flock crumble and feed that it’s at 20% protein and a good choice. Medicated feed if that’s all that’s available is not harmful with medication they use in it now for cocci.

Thanks for sharing your story NoahSully. I’m getting 4 Perkins tomorrow and have 5 more on day 7 in the baton. Following this thread makes me wonder if it would make sense to put the b complex on the food from the beginning as a preventative measure rather than waiting to be scares poopless when this happens to a baby? (That would be my reaction, not saying it was yours :)). I already bought the vitamins to have on hand.

I think that is a very good idea or start with Nutritional yeast and if you begin to see one needing more then pull out the big guns. I commend you on wanting to be ahead of this especially since your having Pekins.
Are Pekins problem children? I'm getting 4 tomorrow or Friday from Ideal but I have six developing in the bator to hatch later this month. I'm a set em and forget em on hatching, I don't typically do the assisted hatch figuring Ma nature knows more than I do.
