Duckling paralysis

It seems the little things just grow so fast their legs suffer and they can have leg issue so it's best to start them off right away using Nutritional yeast then if you begin to notice even the slightest problem start the B Complex. Nutritional yeast is easy to use just sprinkle over feed 1 Tab per cup of feed. Hopefully yours won't have any problems but it's always best to be ready just in case. We have seen great results with the B complex on ducklings that have already started having leg trouble It's amazing really.

Thanks for sharing your story NoahSully. I’m getting 4 Perkins tomorrow and have 5 more on day 7 in the baton. Following this thread makes me wonder if it would make sense to put the b complex on the food from the beginning as a preventative measure rather than waiting to be scares poopless when this happens to a baby? (That would be my reaction, not saying it was yours :)). I already bought the vitamins to have on hand.
I would! And you probably wouldn’t have to put it in their food everyday if you didn’t want to. As long as you keep a regular schedule. One or two good doses of it a week. Peas, mealworms, and foraging. They should be good to go.

Are Pekins problem children? I'm getting 4 tomorrow or Friday from Ideal but I have six developing in the bator to hatch later this month. I'm a set em and forget em on hatching, I don't typically do the assisted hatch figuring Ma nature knows more than I do.
I’m sure not all Pekins are of the same quality. But as long as they get good nutrition and environment when they are growing, I don’t think you will have any problems.
