I need some advice. I did a candle today to see where my little eggs that are ahead of everyone are right now. I have two that have air sacs that have dropped down a far amount in just 24-48. They have almost no light able to go through them but a very small space. They were not supposed to be here until Friday. They are not following the schedule very well!

But one I saw poking at the air sac membrain towards my candling light several times, and another was looking like it was experimentally poking at it too. Both of the ones that were poking happen to have the most wonky air cell shapes too. The other four look close to these two but might be a little bit behind it as there seems to be a bit more light on candling.

Should I take out my eggs that are two weeks behind and put the bator on lockdown tonight (I have another incubator set up just in case this happened). Candle tomorrow then decide then. Up the humidity some but not to the full 70%.

I didn't think they would be this dark until Friday even with them behind ahead of my other eggs. Certainly didn't think I would get to see anyone poking at the membrain at all! GAH!

I agree with @casportpony

The pressing on the membrane will be an internal pip soon, so I’d be ready to raise it quickly, once it pokes thru. If the others are close enough behind, and the air cells are big enough, the extra humidity won’t hurt them for a few extra days. But once the internal pip happens, i like to bump it up.

So they are divided into two groups; Maryland and Texas. Maryland is almost text book image of a 14 day Air cell. The Texas well they are not playing by any rule book and have strange shaped air cells so they are harder to read, but the two with the farthest down the egg are the two poking today. They are also almost completely dark save for the air cell and the tiny bit of space between a small rise in the strange shaped air cell

Ok i couldn't get good candle pics with my phone so I traced the air cells. They changed from last night to tonight. I hope they are not loosing to much moisture. Specially seeing as I upped the humidity to 60+ percent now.

Here are the pics of the traced air cells the line just below the 7/11 is where the light from candling stops with an upright egg. The lower line is where the light stops in a laydown or upside down position. The little x with a circle around it is where I have seen something pressing against the membrane. These are shipped eggs btw that is the reason I think for the wonky air cells.
