duckling question

I also let mine swim when they are less than a week. I used a baking dish. They were so cute! Of course like everyone else mentioned, dry them off and put them back with the heat lamp. They will be fine.

IMHO, watching them swim is one of the best parts of having ducklings! It's so cute when they dive under and swim around in circles--and they do this at just a few days old. I wouldn't miss it for the world. They seem positively invigorated by the experience. If you put finely chopped spinach in the water, they have a ball chasing it down and eating it. They do get waterlogged if you leave them in too long; it's easy to tell because they start sinking in the water. They also shiver if they get cold. You just need to watch them.
