I just purchased two duckling this morning and really don't know much about raising them. I'm not sure how old they are but I would guess them to be no more than three weeks old at the very oldest. They are kept inside a house that stays at about 75 degrees or hotter, day or night, but they start moving and making more noise when I turn all the lights off. From what I've read, I figured that a heat lamp with this kind of room temperature would be entirely to hot. I'm just wondering if maybe they need a night light?

Welcome to BYC! at 3 weeks of age they still need heat, around 80* would probably be better, are they huddled on top of each other? or pretty much just laying around relaxing that would pretty much determine if they are cold or okay, of course if you just got them they are probably afraid of their new surrounding and having you close by helps, why not give them a stuffed animal, most ducklings love to snuggle with one. some excellent reading for first time duckling mamas. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/750869/raising-and-caring-for-ducklings#post_10611711
