I figured I have a chance of getting all males, but I'll just try again next year! Or, again this year if there is enough time to get more.
 
I don't want very many, and the place I'm getting them from is the only place I can get less then 10, but they only come as straight run.
 
I suppose I could get 4 females and 6 drakes specifically sexed and then give the 5 extra drakes to my friend. Shipping live birds sounds scary to me though!

It's not cheap to have them shipped. If you can buy a straight run locally I would do that over buying sexed if you don't mind possibly having more males. If you need/want a specific ratio then I think it's worth it to have them sexed. It is practically the same price to buy 2,3, 4 ect. as it is to buy 10 when you have them shipped. But you have to have the room for 10 and they grow fast as you can see.
 
I will have to weigh my options...we shall see what I will do.
