Duckling Thread!

Yeah, my two females make a good mother-daughter team. Yes they do. Even my ganders seem to like the baby and are very serious about protecting it.
My gander was papa goose to many a Muscovy duckling before he got 2 goslings.

My babies are just over a month old today! I gave them some yummy peas and they went bananas over them. Full body wiggles and very happy peeps as they practically inhale the treat. Please excuse the homemade brooder/enclosure, we are building them an outdoor house and they seem to be growing faster than we can build it. :)

Cute babies. Duck poop jar needed again. @WannaBeHillBilly
Duck poop jar?
:gig:lau - Running gag between @Texag87 and me: We both keep a virtual jar full of stinky duck poop to immediatley cure any acute attack of duckling fever, caused by pictures or videos of cute little round fluffy peeping balls :love… - Gosh where's that glass?!?
Your ducklings are sooo cute! - You also asked at Fry's electronics for used cardboard boxes for the brooder?

Actually that is a late night trip to Walmart for free boxes. I have them up to prevent the water from being flung here and there by the ducklings as they drink/play in the water. I have small hole wire up so they stay in one area and dont eat said boxes....[/QUOTE]
:gigWater, ducklings and Cardboard is an unlucky combination.
I built a cardboard/tarp brooder in my garage for the Spring Ducklings and one day the little rascals pulled the tarp down, chewed through the cardboard (with the help of lot's of water) and explored the garage. We came back home from grocery shopping late and had to hunt 14 ducklings down before we could drive the car into the garage. I swear the duck's are still telling that story today! :plbb
