Well Rouens fly short distance and generally near the ground but are generally too heavy to achieve real flight, unlike their Mallard cousins who are small, light and great flyers.

I have 2 wild mallards that nest here every year.

Well im happy to say i can tell now that i have a male and female.
Im wondering...... will my ducks fly away??? A friend asked me and as soon as i said no 2 wild ducks flew over. Lol

First of all, I know I have to get pics of the new ducklings! I haven't forgotten, I promise! I'm going to try REALLY hard to get some TODAY!

***Big Announcement!***
I've been trying to find me some good egg-laying ducks for awhile. I found some Khaki Campbell hatching eggs for sale in Michigan.
The lady I'm buying them from is going to ship them out tomorrow! 4 dozen Khaki Campbell hatching eggs! I am so eggcited, I just can't hide it! So today I'm getting the incubators all set up and ready to go! The eggs should get here Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

So there you have it, after not having any ducks besides Muscovies since 2014, I'm getting normal ducks again! I can't wait to hatch the eggs and have more ducks to love!
