Mallards fly to and even though they are cute and tiny to keep them home you’d have to clip their wings every year after molt. Hopefully another TSC has ducklings of other breeds don’t give up!!

I have 6 magpies in the incubator, but I’ve got 5 grown ducks.

Here’s the muscovies!

And here’s the magpie female. Her mate just died, but we are hatching the pairs eggs.

My crew. Any ideas on breeds? I’m thinking Cayuga for the black ones but am NO expert . Started with 4 random black ducklings 3/13, got 4 more the 23rd....

The black ones with the yellow chests are black Swedish ducklings. The yellow ones are pekins and the gray-ish ones with a yellow chest look to be blue(?) Swedish ducklings.

Thank you. I was wondering about Cayuga for the black ones (jet black beans and legs) so I’ll have to look into Swedish ducklings, I haven’t heard of those. The grey ones are brown, not sure if that make a difference, these pictures are not the best. Thank you for the quick reply We are loving our new babies, they are so much fun!!
