This cute little Ancona baby hatched this morning, and I noticed that it was only tilting its head on one side. It does not appear to be in any pain, and is acting completely normal from what I can tell. I thought maybe it was because of the long period of time that it had been pipped, which was 2 days, since it had its head in the same position for a long time. But, I'm not so sure. Sorry for the bad quality photos!

I agree it definitely needs a day. It's not uncommon at all for the neck to be a little limp and uncoordinated this early. Think about like you being curled up in a ball for weeks and then finally being able to get up and walk around. I don't know about you, but if I lay on my neck wrong even for a night I wake up looking like an Egor for the day. They need time to allow their muscles and ligaments to stretch and adjust to being free.
