I’ve been looking, but can’t find much information on this. I have a sweet duckling, Pancake, who came with a slightly purple bill. I have been monitoring it and giving it yeast in the food for vitamin B. What little bit I’ve found suggests this is a circulatory issue and that yeast and Co-Q10 help. I started giving it the Co-Q10 yesterday as well as yeast. Does anyone have suggestions or ideas as to what is causing the purple bill? She/he also seems to not be growing at the same rate as the other two ducklings. The feet are not over pale and I wouldn’t say it is overly lethargic- however my boyfriend thought today it was a little bit on the lethargic side. I would appreciate any help, thank you!

Next time you go to Tractor supply pick up a bottle of B-complex. Give some to them each day over treats. It will help them grow and hopefully, you will be able to avoid any leg problems if you start it while they are young. It says injectable but you can just put some over the treats and it's fine. Same thing, different labels.

If you're giving them treats they'll need some "chick grit" in a separate little dish so that they can digest their treats properly. A small bag will last a long time.
