duckling with turned in leg

i have an 11 day old pekin duck. it was born with the right leg turned in badly. the hip joint feels very different then the left. the leg is twisted inward so much the the right middle toe points to the left heel. the duckling trips and falls often and now has developed what looks to be a sore on the bottom of the foot. i have been told to make a popscicle stick brace but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
