Ducklings, almost there!!

This is a secondary thread following this, but for the incubator eggs.

We have 10 in the bator, quite a few of which have internally pipped. Only one (so far) has externally pipped.

Lockdown was supposed to start tomorrow, but while candling last night, we realized that some of them were already piping (internally), so we started lockdown this morning.

Some are rocking back and forth, and we hear a few chirps here and there. I recorded about 20 seconds of our broody ducks talking up a storm and have played it a few times for the eggs. Each time, one or two will start rocking and/or chirping.

This is sooo exciting, I can’t wait to update y’all, hopefully with pictures of newly hatched ducklings!!

So far we have 5 external pips!!

One hatched early this morning, 7 more are pipped and rocking back and forth.

Sorry for responding so late, I’m not really worried about it anymore since she’s standing normal now. I think she just needed a while to get herself situated.

We have 7 now!!!!
2 more are in the incubator with pretty large pips and one hasn’t pipped at all, but I’ll give it a few more days.
