Hi im wondering what bedding everyone uses in the brooder ansd how often do u clean them out. Also when they go outside in there house and run what do people out down for bedding. Thanks for ur help in advance.

In the brooder I use pine shavings. Something absorbent like puppy piddle pads under neath where their water is..
Pine shavings in the house and pea gravel and gravel in the out door run so I can hose all the poop off with the hose.I make a slope so the water runs away.

I use pine shavings and clean duck brooders every other day bc they are messy!

My Runners ate shavings, so we used old towels. Once grown, they figured out that it's bedding, not food, and we use shavings now.

To keep the bedding pretty dry, I use this watering station.

I would not use a big open pot for ducklings - I'd use a chick waterer, with a head washer.
