Agreed, I have some chicks who had to stay in my garage till 6 weeks but it has been FREEZING, they are doing fine but I still worry, I prefer them outside though because they broke their heating lamp 3 times... first time i've ever experienced that.
Pedialyte is just an electrolyte for very young children and babies. It's sold over-the-counter almost anywhere you can buy groceries or cold meds and comes in both liquid and individual powder packet form. Think of it as Gatorade for kids. It's a great, inexpensive substitute for Nutridrench, which can get hard to find around home, here. Oh - and generic works just as well as name brand.I'm not sure what Pedialyte is. I've never used it before.
I just mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of honey into one quart of water and give them that for the first day or two. It boosts their immune system and helps them get off to a good start.
I picked a hatchery near my state so they didn't have far to travel.
You and me both. I might to try hatch a few of my own in the spring though!

We have 4 other ducks. All raised from ducklings. And yes they love peas and I have two bags in my freezer! They’ll definitely be getting some in a few days. As well as lots of love and cuddles so they are super friendly! Their feed is the chick starter that our other ducklings & chicks are on. Lots of pictures to come!
Mine came with a heat pack & I didn’t even know it was a thing I could ask for!
