Ducklings foraging?

When can ducklings be given a chunk of grass to pick at in their brooder? When can they eat grit and meal worms and that kind of stuff?

How old are your Ducklings First of all?
Not Chickens so lumps of grass and sod are useless. Warm days take them outside to play If feathers are coming in or if weather is warm..
