Ducklings have arrived!

I ordered Fawn and white Female Runners from Cackle due to arrive end of April just 3 I have 4 females already and a drake but I wanted some Fawn and white. Runners are just the funniest ducks ever I never get tired of watching them.

You must share pictures of the ducklings when they arrive. What colors do you currently have? They really are funny birds.... even as babies, the way they run/waddle around like bumper cars is funny. Can't wait til they are a bit bigger and I can let them run in the grass! I think I might try a field trip to the tub this weekend since it's a little more open than the brooder.

They’ll love to swim it’s a blast watching that. I have 3 black one is my drake a blue and a silver. A friend here on BYC sent me eggs and my Muscovys hatched them. They will be 3 end of April.

I ran them an inch or so of warm water in the bathtub tonight. They were so cute splashing around! When they were tired of washing they spent awhile chasing bubbles, which created more bubbles to chase. They sure needed that bath.

As usual I am jealous of someone getting runners . Maybe our “experiment “ will result in. Half runner but I doubt it.

We are at our limit of ducks. A couple of weeks ago while cleaning the coop we found 5 eggs buried under the hay. Not wanting to take a chance on eating them, they accidentally wound up in an incubator that came in the mail. Somehow some other eggs wound up in there too. Six eggs are viable when candled at 11 days. Our KC drake does most of the mating but our runner will from time to time.

George is doing well. Mini keeps him in check, he just can't get with the littles. I see you don't sleep well either.
