What they are saying about letting them in the water is this. In the wild they get residual oils from their mamas. In captivity(in home incubation) they do not get this yet. If you are LEAVING them in the water without supervision that is what they are talking about. SURE let them play in the water. Mine are in the tub a week after they are born. THEY are NOT left alone. A weaker one cannot hold his head up and can drown within seconds. (voice of experience here!)
