so my 2 weeks old ducklings both have completely lost all there baby fuzz on there necks.

They have a few spots the same on there back from when we got them and we were just told that’s because there feathers will be coming in.

This is the first time we’ve raised ducklings so have never seen this and our other ducks have never had any issues like this.

They are fed proper duckling feed and have regular peas and lettuce,

They have there bedding changed daily and access to water pretty much all the time.

They haven’t really been attacking each other that we’ve seen tho

Sorry super new to all this so just wanting to make sure there okay.

There 2x Pekin

i haven’t noticed them scratching or anything - just general preening that they’ve been doing.

I checked them over quickly and couldn’t see any thing, at all.

One off my ducks has it worse then that other but they seem to not be phased over it at all.

I’ve only had them for a week and we got them off someone who had 3 other ducks

Yeah I’ll start them off with a warm bath and try and inspect to see if they have anything.

I tried to research and yeah all I could find was some people said they get super itchy when there feathers are coming in and others say mites or lice

Mine itch a lot like you said, but still no bare spots here. Best of luck, hope you figure it out.

I just tried to inspect them and it just looks super bad after they’ve been in the water.

There’s still he baby “feathers” as such but it just looks super red. When we got them they had it and it Just looks more noticeable now
