That's normal and wearing off the down from that container your using. If the Brooder is wet the Ducklings get wet too. Using a container with a lid so they can only put in their heads helps..Pine shavings on the Brooder floor helps too.

I agree looks like something is possibly irritating them or they are making it irritated.I just tried to inspect them and it just looks super bad after they’ve been in the water.
There’s still he baby “feathers” as such but it just looks super red. When we got them they had it and it Just looks more noticeable now
This is the best idea for ducklings!!! Love my containers I made when you recommended it.Something like this. And soft bedding old towels or pine shaving. The shavings will absorb the wet poo then you can scoop out the wet daily and ad fresh as needed. Also depending on what your feeding you might want to start the on a supplement for extra niacin.
