Hello, my female Rouen and male Indian Runner ducks recently hatched 8 ducklings, two of which were rejected by the mom because they were born two days later. I have the two inside my house and 6 more outside with the mom. I am feeding poultry starter and have read that the adult food can be toxic to the babies. Can the adults eat the chick food? They are all housed together, so I am not sure how to separate them if I need to feed them different types of feed.

The ducklings are 2 1/2 weeks old. At what age can I take them away from the mom and find them new homes? I wish I could keep them all, but we don't have a big backyard and 10 duck is just too many. The babies are beautiful and very sweet. I want to find them all a good home, preferably together, so if anyone knows of a good home or would like to take them, please let me know. I live in Queen Creek, AZ.

Thank you!

I live in New Hampshire and I REALLY wish I could take these darlings for you!

What I would try is to reintegrate them with their brothers and sisters slowly. Put a fence between them all and let them get used to each other day by day. I bet you could get them back into their own little duck society in a week or so! Good luck!!!
