NO! 2 girls per boy will NOT work! 4 more female ducks will not work with that ratio.

You are going to have to either separate those drakes, if you want to keep them all, or get rid of at least one of them.

Right now I have 2 drakes to 8 females and that is barely working!

Please don't do this to your girls. Those boys are relentless with their mating and could possibly severely hurt or kill one of your girls.

so far the 3 drakes and 2 girls is working perfectly fine for me, the boys are a year and the girls are 8 weeks old. so i don’t see how adding girls can do anything but help

also, i’m not 100% sure but once school starts up again my parents may have us move houses again (so i can stay in the same school) and they said they would try to find a place with a lot of property for my ducks. i know drakes can’t be kept with chickens but could i keep all my drakes separated and then have a coop for female ducks and hens together?

That would be fine, BUT each species would need plenty of space to roam, ducks can soil bedding fast, and cause a harfmul envioment to the chickens.

that’s why i’m hoping we do end up moving again. if possible i would like to have a big flock of ducks, chickens, and a couple geese! i’d also like to get some call ducks in the future

In my opinion that is to many drakes. If you do get more ducks you probably stick to a few breeds about the same size. getting to many different breeds may get challenging

why would it be challenging? don’t all breeds have the same care (besides calls)
