I'm so sorry about the bator, so close too. Can you see movement in the eggs? Have you put a cup or bowl of water in the box to keep up the humidity?

Of course I did!here’s a view after I finally took up the courage to candle it.

those are the not so looking alive egg pictures.The others are completely fine.I saw their tiny beaks move instinctively when I candled.

I hope so,Today is day 25 egg 1 and 2 are doing fine.The third’s a guaranteed dead but I may as well keep it since there’s no harm unless he lets out a bad smell.

U see the brown aggressive-like one?that’s what she did to me when I tried to offer her some corn

oh right that’s just two bruises.My leg has 3 more and one bloody cut.
The male on the other hand was just the sweetest.
Ps.I broke the dead egg today.it was too painful to take a pic.The other eggs are doing pretty well.2-4 more days.

I was worried your bad egg might burst and get bacteria on the others I’m glad you took it out. Sorry it didn’t make it but it’s exciting that the other ones are doing good. Can’t wait to see them little things. Are the pictures your ducks? And the eggs came from them? They are very pretty.

Thank you,ur too kind.Yes they are,but no,my eggs didn’t come from them.But as far as I’m concerned they are pure Rouens.But I’m not certain,they may be Pekins or mallards.Actually these breeds were brought to me unidentified,so I did a bit of reaserach and recently found they were particularly close to Rouen’s eggs.But I can’t be sure…yet.The eggs are doing pretty good,I’ve been trying hard to maintain the temp which is not easy without an incubator.I really can’t wait too!I’m giving my iPad extra charge in case one pips and the charge runs out,then I figure out I lost the charger.Just in case you want to know my silly concern,ive been peeping through the tiny hole opening in the box 20 min at a time just in case…

Aww I bet they hear their mama! That’s sweet. Have you been reading up on hatching?once it starts it can take quite a while for them to hatch in other words they are slow pokes. I hope once hatching starts it all goes smoothly.
