Is there a reliable way to sex my ducks without vent sexing? They are now 3 weeks and I’m wondering if it’s possible to tell now... (I apologise for dirty faces they can’t seem to drink without sticking their entire head into the bowl)

Without ventsexing you have to wait until they start to Quack (F)or rasp (M) .
some breeds have a distinctively different color but yours not I believe

At what age do they begin to quack

And one has slightly a longer tail feathering than the other, or does that not matter

Yes the drake curl!
and the quacking practice can start soon with your flock now. In the beginning not perfect. Like teenagers changing voice. Mine just went/are going trough that.. it’s the cutest sound!

So it seems I have a duck and a drake? And they haven’t started with the attempted quacks , still cheeping like day old ducklings

No you can’t tell yet. These are just from going from baby fluff to feathers. The drake curl looks like this or similar
