Ducks about to hatch

When did it extends pip ? When they do this they can still hatch on their own or may need help but the wait time is longer as this counts as both internal and external so baby could take 48-60 hours.

Only yesterday (about 30 hours?) so I know it's early now. I don't want to step in at all if I can help it and he's still peeping and rocking!

That one probably will need help
Attached pictures of them! Hope they work! I’m glad to hear moving them too soon won’t have been the worst thing. It really did seem the only option. Our incubator is entirely unsuitable once they hatch.

Another newbie question if I may! We have a heat lamp on a thermostat. It’s turning off and then back on as needed to keep the temp. Is that ok? Is that what it should be doing and will the ducks mind?
so precious! Congrats!! Temp in brooder?

After 48 hours if you aren’t seeing any zipping starting you can try to help
Mine that was wrong end needed full assistance but she was not able to external pip only bruise I had to make her a safety hole then leave her be
She took 52 hours and still had a really tiny yolk left but was rapid breathing so helped her out. She finished off in her shell in a cup only another 2 hours abd she was fully absorbed and doing great
She is now 4 months old on May 10th
That one was under mom luckily I found it as mom had no clue what she was doing as the other 2 internal pipped but didn’t external and died under her she never helped them.
She was great at sitting but had no idea what to do with hatching eggs

Thank you all so much for advice and comments!

3 ducks are hatched now and fluffed up! They’re soooooo cute! 4 others have been pipped about 48 hours now. Two are fine, but one is the pipped wrong end one and another who hasn’t done a thing since internal pip (I had to external pip for it). All are alive but the pipped wrong end one had gone very still and quiet so I took the decision to chip at his shell a bit. I stopped when I saw blood in his membrane and put him back but he’s moving about a bit better now. Still no chirping from him.

They’re such a worry aren’t they! I didn’t panic this much about birthing my children!

With the wrong end baby you can slowly start to chip shell every few hours and wet the membrane
I use coconut oil to see the veins but use Vaseline after to keep it moist longer
I also had my bator in the bathroom and turned on the shower to hot let it run for a bit before working on the egg
This way both the room and the bator stayed nice and humid so no shrink wrapping happened
Keep us posted :)

The 3 that haven't hatched yet have stopped peeping. Beaks still opening and closing, still wriggling and breathing ok, but no sounds now. I have chipped away at the wrong-ender but still veins so I've stopped for now. But they all seem so quiet. Could these 3 not make it potentially?

They do go quiet while resting
Some you never hear peep at all
As long as they are breathing and yawning / chewing they are absorbing and resting
I know it’s hard but they know when they are ready to come
Some are fast others are very slow
