Ducks and Chickens

Yup. Mine do fine together. My White Pekin thinks she's the boss of everybody, and doesn't even mind to stand up to the roosters. I haven't had any major problems with them getting along, however I will say that ducks are probably 105% messier than chickens, which can be a hassle. I love them and always have loved them, so it's worth it to me. So really it just depends on if you're willing to do the extra work to keep the coop/pen clean.

I don't but they meed a lot of water right super close to where they eat because they like to take a mouth of food but swallow it with water. Mine free range and love worms and june bugs and rootlets.

Ducks will make the chickens laugh. They get all quacked up!

Generally I find that my female ducks have little patience for the chickens. They will even share boxes to lay eggs but this week I saw the duck biting the chicken to get off of her nest and the chicken trying to defend herself. There is one chicken that the Ducks are scared of but otherwise they get along ok.
