We have 12 chicks and 2 ducks. They all are about 7weeks old and the best of friends. The problem is getting the chicks into the coop at night. The ducks get upset when they start going in and will call the, back out. ( when they are free range they all hang out together and if one of the chicks is playing elsewhere the ducks call her back) We have to pick the ducks up to get them into the coop. This is quite a process. So any suggestions to help get everyone in the coop a little easier. The coop is raised due to where we live and the chicks have no problem heading into roost as long as the ducks aren't calling them back. We thought about funcing the underneath for the ducks since they don't seem to want to climb into the coop on there own. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

i had the same problem. but i just tricked my ducks to go into the coop. when all my chickens start heading in a go outside and sprinkle some corn or dried worms or whatever treat i have. when i did that the ducks would come running. after about 3 days i stoped and the ducks still went inside thinking o if we go inside well get a treat.
