So this is a bit of an emergency. We put compost all over the garden yesterday, I'm pretty sure it had sheep poop that was fertilized. We are afraid the ducks may get food poisoning from the compost so we haven't let them out yet. However, our duckling escaped and we didn't even notice until now. She sis young and doesn't really eat that much grass however I am still a little nervous it may do her harm. Can compost hurt a duck? Or even if it did would the duck stay away from it?

Oh, compost better not be bad for ducks! Mine play in it everyday! We throw stuff on top, and they play in gaps at the base. The decomposing matter is just dark dirt by the time it gets to them. Like I'm assuming the stuff you put on your garden is. My ducks just pick through and get all the delicious worms and wood lice.
