Ducks and ticks?

My husband and I are moving this weekend to our first home... It is an amazing place but has one problem... Ticks! We've been looking at getting ducks for a while and think this may be good timing... Any suggestions as to what breed/s do best eating ticks? My parents have Welsh Harlequins and offered ducklings if they have a good hatching this spring but we are open to other breeds as well...
And though guineas are good tick eaters, my husband can't stand them... And no chickens as I'm allergic to chicken eggs....
Anyone have experience in this area? Thanks!

My ducks dont eat ticks. I have mallard derived ducks, Im not sure if muscovy will make a difference

Sorry, but I don't believe ducks eat ticks. Too bad your husband doesn't like guineas.

Ducks can suffer from tick born disease.......Tick fever is one of them.....

Ducks do not eat ticks...Ticks eat Ducks..

I've read that Muscovy ducks will eat ticks... Are they more resistance to tick fever? What are the signs or symptoms and how to treat it?
