Ducks are more productive!

I have 5 White Rock pullets and 5 pekin ducks. I get 4-5 duck eggs a day and 3-4 chicken eggs a day. I am really liking the ducks!

You should see how many eggs total a year you get from heavy layers like Khaki Campbells

We shall see how many eggs silver appleyard ducks lay next year. I am getting some from Holderread's this spring.
I can't wait!

They are excellent layers and the best for meat breeds, but slow to mature so hope you get ducklings EARLY in the spring or you will end up waiting for eggs a long time. We are getting about 200 a year on average from the oldest girls post second molt.
