Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay you! Totally get another duck, they are so much happier when they are with another duck. I have three girls, they love each other to bits. Any time one of them gets left behind they quack like crazy until they are all back together again. Your duck will love you very much but they will love having a friend.
My duck has a facebook page and has lots of friends who run rescue centres. They seem to get ducks in all the time. People get ducklings for spring and then just dump them when they get big. One rescue place found the most beautiful little duck living under a car with not water or food. If you look up rescue places in your area you might be able to find a lovely little soul who needs a home. A lot of these ducks, even though they are mistreated are very loving once they find a happy home.
And pictures...my ducks are call ducks (mutts not purebreed) they are very very little and very very loud lol!
