Duck's Beak Peeling?

Hello! My duck has these spots on both sides of his beak and I was just wondering if this was normal?

Could she have stuck her bill into fencing etc is it on both sides? Bills will peel just this looks I more like an injury. You can put some ACV into her bucket 1- tablespoon to 1 gal of water ACV can kill some bacteria.

The fence is big enough for his head to fit through without scratching the sides, so its not that. but I'll potentially try some acv. thank you!
