ducks, drakes, and GEESE???

I have 1 drake and two female indian runner ducks. This spring i took a chinese brown gosling (we thought it was a female when vented) because i read they could be used as guard geese and i wanted the ducks to be able to freerange more often (lots of smaller predators about). The ducks rejected the gosling and she was spending all of her time alone and started associating with inanimate objects. So i bought a tolouse female (3 yrs) who turns out to be the most timid of all the birds. The chinese eventually warmed up to the other goose and the the ducks were more accepting. The past few weeks they were finallying being housed together at night and wandering the yard together. Than this morning i open the pen i find the smallest female duck has her back feathers ripped out and around both eyes. Took her to vet, hoping she makes the night. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what happened? Im guessing it was my chinese as she has been picking at the toulouse (who follows the brat around like a shadow). Im also suspicious that chinese might actually be a gander. Also any tips on wound care would be great as vet only gave oral antibiotics and pain meds despite the size of the wounds.
So to answer your question if you want them all together get them all as babies and raise them together so you dont end up in my situation.
