Yes they drink it and its about a foot deep.

Perhaps they are dumping it out or bathing in it? My two ducks still have plenty of water leftover in their tub at the end of the day, it shouldn’t get dry.

How do they get in? Looks like the bale of straw is blocking the opening? And if the water is inside, there is a very good chance that mold is too.
