My incubator has been fluctuating since they first started Thurs 8/14, usually running on the high side. If I *had* to guess, 1-1.5 degrees higher on average. But the fluctuation has been pretty extreme and needed constant adjustments to avoid 'danger zones.' I was expecting Thurs 9/11 as the hatch date..

Just now, I went to take a look at them, and one has a small chip/crack, as if hatching, not damage.. I quickly moved them out, added a screen at the bottom, and wet bedding over that (for humidity which I haven't been monitoring with equipment). While doing that, at least 2 started chirping for the 1st time, which I read doesn't happen until a day or two before hatching...

I've been clearly noticing movement inside for some time, in 21 of 23 eggs. Now that I laid them on their side w air sac slightly angled up, the amount of action in the eggs is A LOT!! I've noticed air sac movement, but it was barely, and only a few just yesterday!

Are they coming? Are they ready development wise? Is there anything I can or should do? Am I freaking out over nothing and its just this one egg (w moving and kicking duckling inside) that's unusual? I guess I might be finding out soon but I'm certainly freaking out, they're way ahead of schedule if they are hatching.. And I *just* took the egg turner out :( I'm not sure if I should hand turn them tomorrow if they haven't hatched...

And should I leave them in here to hatch? With little air circulation? From other post today but now I'm really worried. They're suppose to be here in four days...

If it's any help, yes, you're freaking out. Many of us do. Babies coming and can't wait for the babies!!!

At least two show obvious signs of pipping in the first pic. I can't tell from the second pic. Whatever you do, you don't want to try to "help" them by peeling the shells off. They know how to get out. Just have some patience for now ;)

    Enrique,

There are many things I could say here, but I won't say them right now, none of them. I'm responding to your post to bump it hoping someone else will have a better response than I can give you.
