I read that same article and having a pig plow the garden plot is a great idea. Sending a spring pig to freezer camp seems fantastic. My real want though? is a jersey cow for milk and a beef cow for the freezer every year.

I've been on my husband about getting a couple of pigs too. He just doesn't seemed that thrilled, even though he absolutely LOOOVVVESSS bacon. So, now I've back down to possibly some turkeys. It didn't take him that long to get used to the ducks, though now that I have 20 new ones hatching next week, he might officially go over the edge.

My husband would probably agree to any animal. However, his wife has a history of things becoming pets and butchering being out of the question.....Not sure how to get me past that. So no more livestock!
