Ducks have pipped

One of my eggs pipped yesterday by just breaking the shell. The membrane part had a small black dot, but no signs of a hole. How did my duckling break the shell and not the membrane? Today 4 have the same problem and as the first. Thank you so much!!

The directions said during hatch date keep it at 65 to 85 percent. I have kept it at 74, but I put a little more water in and it's at 84.

How are they doing? I think when it pipped, it broke the membrane, but the hole is too small to see. I think it is fine.
