Hello so I recently moved to a house with a spring feed pond on 5 acres fenced in. (In Missouri) I wanted ducks but didn't know anything about them. One morning I woke up and my uncle got me ducks. I have 14. 10 young adults and adults, 4 ducklings. I love them. Ive had them for about a month now. I have a gazebo that I have been putting then in every night. But my husband doesn't like them in it bc of the mess. I was wondering if we need to put them up evey night or if I can leave then out on the pound. If I need to put then up at night how big does it need to be and does it need a door. The types of ducks I have are 9 mallard ducks, 2 Muscovy ducks (1 is a baby), and 3 ducklings there all white right now so I don't know yet. Any help would be great full. Thanks in advance. :)

Some people let their ducks just be on their property without putting them up at night but if you want to ensure that they’re safe from predators you could herd them into a shelter at night.

Ducks need about 4-6 sq ft per duck but if they’ll only be in there for the night at least 2.4-4sq ft per duck.

This is a pic of my duck house, but it only made to house 5-6 ducks not 14 so you would need to make yours way bigger.
