Has anyone ever put a duck in a chicken plucker? If so, how did it turn out? Were all of the feathers off? If you have any pics, please post.

We did chickens and ducks at a class I took yesterday. The water ended up being too hot and we had to finish off the plucking by hand, but if the temp had been right, MOST of the feathers would have come off, just some of the downier parts and the flight feathers on the wings would need additional attention, according to the instructor.

I put a duck in my chicken plucker and the end result was HORRIBLE!!! :hide

Anyone else have any bad experiences?

This is your thread now, post that picture! lol

As I said, we did and it worked marginally well on our 4 drakes. We still had to hand pluck a lot. It did break one leg off and what it did to the bills of the ducks was beyond disturbing but otherwise, I suppose it worked decent.
