Ducks in coop at night?

I would like some help settling an argument with my husband. In the warmer weather, we disagree on whether to put the ducks in the coop at night or not. They have a large coop which is enclosed in a large run. The run has a solid roof, hardware cloth and an electric fence. It is relatively secure. Under the coop there is some wire from the previous owner. Not sure what the wire is or if it goes 12 inches down. There is an electric fence in that area. Basically I want to put them in to be safe rather then sorry. He thinks it's safe enough to keep them out in the warmer weather. Thoughts? Help!

Eggs are easier to collect from the house and its good not to break their routine, after a year or so you might be able to put an auto door on the house if you keep up with putting them to bed on time.

If your run is predator safe they do not need to be locked up in a coop. If you have predators large enough to rip through hardware cloth then they will have no problem ripping into a coop.
