Ducks in pools??

Thanks! I found out today that my ducks like watching Youtube. They even replayed one video by pecking the screen. I'm sure it was an accident but it was funny.

I think they're fine to go swimming pretty regularly. I don't think the chlorine in most pools is strong enough to cause issues. Lots of animals drink solely out of chlorinated pools... dogs, cats, ducks, birds, squirrels, you name it. We had mallards that would nest in a planter and raise their ducklings in the pool every year when I was in California. All they drank was that pool water, and they all turned out alright. You can always drag them out if you notice them guzzling it.

Definitely include video. We want to see!

@DuckMochi my ducks never swim for too long for some reason. Maybe 15 minutes tops! So that was it for the day.

They were scared of it (scared of their pond too at first) and would always “check it out” but then run away from it. I got mine to go in by getting in the pond with them and dipping my feet in the pool. Lol

My ducks found my pool and cant keep away from it despite having their own, nice paddling pool. They love the pool but I fear we may have now lost use for it ourselves! We are going to try and get the pool back this summer so we will let you know how it works out the ducks will have to love their own pool.
