ducks in the rain!

For those of us in less temperate climates....let us just wait till it snows....

...oh gosh, it's not until then we become HORRIBLE ANIMAL ABUSERS!!!! who let their ducks play out in the snow all day.

You know, because the Taj Ma Hall duck coop behind them, insulated, heated with a gold-plated water fountian is so horrible (joking on the gold plating)

My ducks used to follow me up and down the driveway as I shoveled quacking their ever loving hearts out, begging for food, attention and for me to make a pile big enough for them to play king of the hill on. I posted a picture on a Facebook contests of them playing and nearly had PETA at my door. GAH!

Here are my ducks in the snow and some mallards too!

That was actually a new garden spot in 2013 that received some spring rain, and the ducks took full advantage of the situation! They must have eaten all the Japanese beetle grubs because I have no Japanese beetles nor moles either.

those little webbed ones are worth their weight in gold aren't they? lol even if they do make nice large mud holes. we just have to watch where we walk especially after dark.

Amen! Don't know how I ever survived without ducks - their entertainment value and companionship is not outweighed by their usefulness. Matter of fact, ducks are better than an IPOD or smartphone (neither of which I own) any day of the week!

I am not sure what an IPOD is but I do have a friend who has a Smart Phone

I barely know how to use my flip one.
But I agree they sure know how to entertain and they don't even realize it.

I have some videos of my ducks frolicking - perhaps I should see if they could be set to music and post it - a duck symphony so to speak!

Just don't let them play with an Ipod/Ipad. My ducks went NUTS For the cat games when they were babies.
