Ducks killed robins?

If the robins were comfortable around the ducks they could be caught off guard. Like getting a drink from the pool where the ducks were swimming.

When I was out in the country a neighbors rooster (used for fighting) got loose and was drowned by my drakes.

That guy wanted $1500 in compensation. :hmm
Um....no. The bird was in my pen more than an acre and a half from their property line. I told him to call the cops cause no way was I paying for their loose animal on my property. They never did.....
Wow! If it was worth so much you’d think they’d keep better track of it!

You may want to call your local conservation department and ask about that.
Unfortunately these appe
I would say it is also possible they fell in the pool and perhaps able to get out but too wet to fly away.

I wish my ducks would chase off the wild birds. Starlings and robins eat a good portion of their feed and they do nothing.
I have seen my ducks watch a robin pull a worm out of the ground and scare it off and take the worm though.😝
Yes that is possible. I could see them getting in a tizzy over the other birds in their area. We are fine with the robins eating the food but not if it’s going to cost their lives!

My teeny tiny mallard drake tries constantly to take on the squirrels that visit our backyard. He also likes to try and fight the crows that come by.
I once found a dead rat that I think my Muscovy drake killed. So I think they could do some damage.
