Ducks laying eggs

My ducks just laid their first egg. Don't know what to do. I took it inside and there is a light on it now and ive turned it, but how do i know whether its living or not? How do i know if its yolked? I've candled it but not exactly sure how to know from candling. Need help.

I think that's the air cell your talking about. There is no way to tell if it's fertile without either breaking it open or incubating it. I would go ahead and incubate and you'll know if it's fertile once it starts veining.
