Hello! I separated my ducks by sex because of harsh breeding. Because of the nature of my facility, there was nowhere I could house them that they wouldn't escape (lol) except for in the back coop/pen, where the males can still see and hear the females. Is this bad for my males? Is it better to keep them in the coop 24 hrs? Two of my females are bonded with the males and it's hard for me to herd them away from the males at night. I don't have experience with this, I wanna make sure they're ok!

Edited to add: my males don't fight with or harm each other.

that’s fine, i have 3 males 2 females and they are seperated so they can see but not touch each other. they are completely healthy and happy (they are over 2 years old)

My two boys Bubba and Butters have to batch it in the orchard. They meet up and chatter with the girls at the fence. They all even nap together right at the fence line. Gotta keep yr girls safe; one of my runners almost lost an eye and had a 3/4 inch gash on her head - bye bois! They are fine. Bubba is an absolute ASS***e but thats another story! 😂
