Ducks still not laying???

After my whining earlier, I went out and found my first duck egg!!! No nest, not in the doghouse where I would like them to, but plunked in front of the duck house on the straw in the open. I don't want duck and chicken feet smashing them and was wondering if they would go into the doghouse if I put the egg in there?

Nice luck with the egg. Mine are 36 weeks and no eggs yet. I don't have a light for them so I'm not all that supprised. Patience is a vertue they say.
