My runner ducks had been laying LOTS of eggs, but now seem to have totally stopped. They are just over one year old. I thought it might have been because I was feeding grower feed (in addition to the layer feed) for my cornish crosses and maybe the ducks were getting more of the grower and less of the layer, but the broilers are all gone now and I have just layer feed out now. If the feed was the problem, how long might it take them to get back on track? If it's something besides the feed, what could it be? Any thoughts would be welcome.

My K Campbells just did the same thing, no eggs for weeks. I finally figured out that they were molting. The drake still has dull, lady like plumage, but the ducks are looking more themselves and last Sat. I found 8 eggs in the nest (I had given up looking.) Anyway, I was just reading that ducks molt early enough to get flight feathers back before fall migration--so who knows, maybe they are molting?...

my pekin quit laying a couple of weeks ago, she has been molting. Ready for more eggs.

Ok, maybe they are molting. The number of eggs declined from one each daily (seven total) to one a day for the group, and then none for the last several days. For awhile I had a whole fridge full of eggs and now I have none. I can't quite bring myself to buy store eggs. I had some on vacation last week and couldn't believe how pale and anemic they looked.

My ducks all of them stopped laying it has been a month and a half now. They were laying 15 a day. When does the laying start again??
