Ducks swimming pool

I have a plastic pool for my ducks. Is there something to keep the algae down? Apple cider vinegar?

I use a scrub brush..Rinse it out everyday...I would not use Vinegar being it will be on your ducks....
I never worry about the algae...Just add fresh water everyday and scrub it out once it is getting dirty...
