We had pea sized hail a month ago and they wandered around with their shoulders shrugged. Most of them finally went inside their coop. They usually delight in storms whether snow, sleet, or rain. They are 2 years old at this point and the drake is 3. And some of them did pick the hail off the ground and ate it.
